Finding cures. Saving children.®: 2019 Campaign - NEW - At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, our mission is clear: Finding cures. Saving children. When you share our new “Finding cures. Saving children.” PSAs, you’re helping St. Jude lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Because most of our funding comes from individual supporters, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. And St. Jude freely shares the discoveries made, so every child saved at St. Jude means thousands more children can be saved around the world and in your community. St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. You can help. Homeless Leadership Initiatives

Jesse Boots On The Ground Perspective via YouTube

The Central Oregon Homeless Leadership Coalition (HLC) is seeking new Board Members - Please review HLC qualifications and information on the HLC governing board page - Become a Partner! Central Oregon has long recognized the need for a more coordinated and informed response to homelessness and people living in poverty. Since the late 1990’s, The Central Oregon Homeless Leadership Coalition has been tackling this challenging and often dynamic problem.

We are driven by the knowledge that together - “we are stronger, healthier, safer communities where people can thrive when everyone has a safe, stable place to call Home Sweet Home!” THERE ARE ONLY ENOUGH PERMANENT HOUSING PLACEMENTS FOR ABOUT ONE-THIRD OF FAMILIES THAT EXPERIENCE HOMELESSNESS ANNUALLY.

Every great song has some truth we find in our own lives. “Home,” performed by Michael Bublé expresses perhaps a universal feeling about the yearning we have to go home. And each one of us has a place, a time, a person a wish that we call home. And family is often at the heart of what we call home...

Home Sweet Home

Case Update (6/15/2019 @ 09:19 Pacific Time)~~>  An update from Aishworya Children’s Home: We are so thankful that Aama (the Director) is out of hospital and recovering. Aishworya is allowed to remain open as the children have been well cared for. The children are attending school again, which is particularly important for those who have exams coming up. Long-time trusted volunteers are now in Nepal, meeting the children and taking the opportunity to learn more about what happened. We will therefore provide a more comprehensive update when we can, including about what will happen next.

Case Update (5/23/2019 @ 09:19 Pacific Time)~~>  An update from Aishworya Children’s Home: Aama, the volunteer Director of Aishworya Children’s Home has taken seriously ill and is in hospital. In her absence, the children have been temporarily placed with several international NGOs to ensure they are fully looked after. We will update you as we know more. Our love goes to Aama and the children at this time.

Updated (12/31/2018 @ 09:30 Pacific Time)~~>  Our running costs are covered entirely by donations and volunteers accommodation fees.

Updated (7/27/2018 @ 09:30 Pacific Time)~~>  What a busy few months we’ve had! - At Aishworya Children's Home we’ve settled in to our new house – (you can take a quick tour below). The children completed exams and we also held a children’s reunion – both events filled us with pride. Last month also marked 14 years of service to our community – time flies! We feel privileged to have been able to provide a permanent home to over 100 children, and a temporary home to over 200 children over those 14 years. We couldn’t have done it without you! In July of 2018, we moved to a new house in Sukedhara of Kathmandu, Nepal. We had to move from our last home because the rent increased. Our new home is equally as nice. It’s a 25 minute walk from where we were. The location is great – the school, medical stores, grocery stores and hospital are all nearby. The children are very comfortable and have already made it a sweet home.

Updated (12/31/2005 @ 09:30 Pacific Time)~~>  Behind the Scenes - Since 2005 our friends around the world put huge amounts of effort and creativity into fundraising for Aishworya. Aishworya is run and staffed by volunteers. We do not take a wage for our work. We operate within Nepali child safety and volunteering laws. For transparency, we also arrange regular visits from social workers who ensure our children’s rights are upheld. Running Aishworya.
