- has his hands in nearly all aspects of the green energy future. He is actively
developing nuclear reactors to replace CO2-spewing coal-fired power plants and he is investing in next-gen
energy storage solutions. Now he is turning his gaze to the problem of transmission lines. After all, you can
generate and store all the energy you want. But if you have no way to transmit it to people"s homes or businesses,
then it doesn"t do much good.

Bill Gates is moving $20 billion of his wealth into the endowment of the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation,

Bill plans to drop off list of top wealthiest people, with his current estimated net worth of
around $114 billion. The Microsoft co-founder and his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, have both pledged to donate
the vast majority of their wealth to the foundation they established together 20 years ago, as well as to other
philanthropic endeavors.
Melinda French Gates may be shifting her approach to how she gives away her vast wealth following her high-profile divorce from Microsoft (MSFT) founder Bill Gates.
French Gates is said to have
decided not to give the bulk of her estimated $11.4 billion fortune
to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. Instead, French Gates is expected to donate to other charitable endeavors, according to the report, though she may also continue to give money to the Gates Foundation.

A working Ranch that restores purpose and spirit to veterans
of all ages
[ Central Oregon Veterans Ranch ] - For the past five years COVR has operated a 19-acre working farm
and engaged hundreds of veterans of different ages and eras in peer
support and agriculture-related activities, or agri-therapy. COVR has built community and camaraderie
among veterans in Central Oregon and around the state. The Ranch helps veterans find a sense of
belonging and purpose through meaningful interactions, team projects, education, growing plants
and caring for animals. During the past five years we have offered veterans and community members
workshops on Post-Traumatic Stress, Suicide Prevention, and Non-Violent Communication. The Ranch has
become a hub for veterans to meet and connect; a safe space to build relationships with peers as well
as civilian community members. Several veterans have stated that the Ranch saved their lives, and
many return during time of personal crisis because of the trust and sense of community the Ranch provides.
